Terms of Service
Last updated: August 9, 2026
The service
Mellott.US is a private, invitation-only personal cloud operated at mellott.us. It provides account holders with storage, notes, calendar, photos, messaging and related tools. It is not a public sign-up service: accounts are created by the operator, and there is no self-registration.
Accounts and acceptable use
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Do not use the service to break the law, to store or distribute unlawful material, to attempt to gain access to another account, or to disrupt or probe the infrastructure. Accounts that do may be suspended without notice.
Text messaging programme
Mellott.US sends account and service text messages — sign-in verification codes and operational alerts about your own services — to account holders who have opted in. There is no marketing programme, no mailing list, and no third-party recipients. Phone numbers are never sold, rented, or shared for marketing.
You opt in by texting an opt-in keyword to our messaging number, or by enabling SMS in your account settings. Message frequency varies with your own activity. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers do not guarantee delivery of any individual message.
Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Full programme details are on the SMS messaging page.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you store. The operator does not claim any licence to your content beyond what is technically required to run the service — storing it, backing it up, and returning it to you. Handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Availability and warranty
The service is provided on an “as is” basis, without warranties of any kind. It is privately operated and may be unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, or reasons outside the operator’s control. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from use of the service.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time and request deletion of your account. The operator may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms. Opting out of text messages never closes your account.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated; the date above always reflects the current version. Material changes affecting the messaging programme will be described on the SMS messaging page as well.
